Arms of Compassion

Tears stream down your face,

I see them in my mind,

pooling on your handkerchief,

surrounded by lonliness.

The sadness within your voice,

the pain echoing in my heart,

my only wish to comfort you,

to make everything alright.

In my arms you’ll find compassion,

love in every word,

against me you can hold,

while the seas of life around us surge.

I want to be your rock,

I want to be your teddy bear,

I want to be your blanket,

I want to keep you safe and secure.

In my arms you’ll find compassion,

In my arms you will be safe,

In my arms you’ll stay warm and happy,

In my arms you are loved.

About The Lost Poet

I write because I find inspiration. It is my hope that through my writing some connections may be felt. Everything I write comes from my experiences with life, and with the people that I love. I try to remember to see myself in everyone, and everyone in myself.
